2010 Tri-Cities Wine Festival - Gala Wine Tasting & Silent Auction

Saturday night, starting at 7:00 PM and lasting until 10:00 PM, the Three Rivers Convention Center Great Hall will be a fabulous concentration of Northwest Wines. Over 100 wineries are expected to be pouring samples of more than 400 wines. During the evening, the award winners are announced in a festive display marking the winning wines with medals and the positioning of balloons to signal where the bronze, silver and gold medals can be found. Finally, the much-anticipated "Best of Show Award" is presented to the wine deemed by the judges to best represent the finest example of craftsmanship and style.
Tickets for the Gala Wine Tasting will be available through Ticketmaster, Ticketmaster outlets and the Toyota Center Box Office at the Toyota Center, which is next to the Convention Center.
During the Gala Wine Tasting, the Silent Auction also takes place. Convention Center doors will open at 6:00 PM for viewing and initial bidding on items. The Silent Auction features many one-time opportunities for wines and wine-related arts and gifts. Part of the proceeds from the Silent Auction are earmarked to support the Tri-Cities Wine Society's educational fund through the Washington Wine Industry Foundation for students in area viticulture or enology programs.

Tri-City Americans vs Calgary Hitmen - Hockey



The Tri-City Americans are a major junior hockey team of the Western Hockey League, based in Kennewick, Washington. The team plays its home games at the Kennewick Toyota Center.
During the 2007–08 WHL season, the Americans won the US Division regular season championship for the first time after a March 15, 2008 showdown with the division rival Spokane Chiefs in Kennewick, Washington at the Toyota Center. The Americans won the Western Conference regular season championship, and the Scotty Munro Memorial Trophy for the best overall regular season record in the Western Hockey League. The 2009–10 Season marked the third straight year the Americans won the US Division.
The Americans won the Western Conference championship for the first time in the 2010 playoffs defeating the Chilliwack Bruins, Kelowna Rockets and Vancouver Giants in successive series before dropping the league championship to the Calgary Hitmen in 5 games.
